February 5, 2026

Annual Meeting

Residents gathered at St. Mary's Episcopal Church Social Hall for the association's Annual Meeting, an evening dedicated to community connection and planning. Attendees heard a review of the past year's events and accomplishments, learned about upcoming plans, participated in the annual budget review, and elected members to the Board of Directors.

Holiday Decorating Contest

Association members decked out their homes and yards in festive holiday décor for a chance to win bragging rights and gift cards to local Asheville favorites. A fun and spirited way to light up the neighborhood during the holiday season.

September 13-14, 2025

Tour of Homes

Spread across two afternoons, this self-guided tour showcased the diverse architecture and craftsmanship across seven unique homes throughout the charming Grove Park – Sunset Mountain neighborhood.

Neighborhood Block Party

Our August Block Party was a hit! A great time was had by all. Our community events truly make Grove Park-Sunset Mountain a special place to live.

Annual Yard Sale

The Annual Yard Sale brought neighbors together for a morning of community commerce. Seller spaces were available free to association members and open to non-members for a small fee, with all participants welcome to set up and browse a variety of goods from around the neighborhood.

June 21, 2025

Griffing Rose Garden Event

Neighbors gathered at the Griffing Rose Garden on Griffing Boulevard for a community volunteer morning aimed at beautifying one of the neighborhood's beloved green spaces. Supported by a $5,000 City of Asheville grant, volunteers contributed sweat equity by planting, replacing trees, and adding rose bushes.

Grove Park - Sunset Mountain Neighborhood Association is a designated non-profit 501 (c)3 Tax Exempt organization by the Internal Revenue Service. Our designation is a public charity and therefore contributions (excluding membership dues) made to our association are tax exempt under the Federal Tax Code.
