Sunset Park Revitalization Project
Sunset Park is the next major chapter in our neighborhood’s ongoing greenspace stewardship.
The long-awaited work on Sunset Park is slated for 2026/2027 and we are excited to announce that Jenny Ballantine will be leading a committee of neighbors to gather feedback that will help us revitalize and beautify this park.
Your help is needed as we launch this special project!
Caring for our parks & greenspaces — together
Our neighborhood is unique among Asheville neighborhoods thanks to our ongoing commitment of funds and labor to our parks and greenspaces. Tax dollars pay only for mowing and trash removal while the rest of the care/maintenance/replacement is up to the neighborhood association.
Over the past 15 years, the association has:
-
Installed and maintained 22 traffic islands
-
Restored E.W. Grove Park to a gathering place that honors its history
-
Saved the E.W. Grove Park trolley houses and wall
-
Restored the Griffing Rose Garden in the spirit of its original design
-
And we continue to upkeep and maintain all of these properties

These efforts strengthen our neighborhood, increase property values, and create beautiful public spaces we all enjoy.
